Unfortunately, due to our health and safety regulations and a high demand for these placements, we are unable to offer any work experience or similar to any persons under 18 years of age.

However, we do have a number of alternatives for those people truly interested in finding out more about all the different aspects of the theatre industry, as follows:

TheatreLAB

TheatreLAB is a weekly theatre group for young people aged 13-25. As part of this group you will get the opportunity to work with a professional drama practitioner, develop new performance skills, explore new and exciting styles of theatre and get regular opportunities for performance throughout the year – including a large scale production!

DigiLAB

Are you interested in finding out about how new technologies are used for communication, creativity and performance? DigiLAB is a weekly group which offers the opportunity to get involved in actively changing the way the Oldham Coliseum uses new technology. This group explores the new and exciting ways that digital technology can be used to market, promote, engage and ultimately change what we see on the stage!

Pathways

Pathways is our way of helping young people aged 14-25 get into theatre. Pathways is the perfect opportunity to research routes into the theatre and creative industries.  You can come in on a regular basis for a full mentoring process to discuss where you’re at, where you would like to get to, and to make some decisions about how you might get there.
