Where are We?

The Oldham Coliseum Theatre is located in the heart of Oldham, Greater Manchester. Our main entrance can be found on Fairbottom Street, just off Yorkshire Street.

The Box Office and foyer area is fully wheelchair accessible.

  • For travel by public transport, the GMPTE website offers a bus and tram route planner, and for train times visit National Rail Enquiries. Oldham Mumps is the nearest train station.

Children aged 13 and over can come to the theatre without an adult but they can not be responsible for younger children. Age 16 and over is considered adult and could be responsible for younger children

Accessibility

We have up to nine wheelchair spaces available for each main house performance and one for each studio performance, with a free seat for an able-bodied accompanying adult. Please state that a wheelchair space is needed when you book your tickets. There are a limited number of parking spaces on Fairbottom Street for the exclusive use of ´blue badge´ holders. We also have an accessible bar and adapted toilets.

Hearing Impaired People

A British Sign Language interpreted performance is available for each in-house production. Plot synopses are available on request. The Coliseum offers infrared headsets for the hearing impaired.

Visually Impaired People

An audio described performance is available for each in-house production via infrared headsets.

Touch Tours

A Touch Tour lasting approximately 30 minutes is available before most audio described performances. Please book in advance when you purchase your ticket.

Guide/Hearing Dogs

Guide and Hearing Dogs are very welcome and water bowls are available on request.

Versions of the season brochure are available in large print, voice recorded and by email. If you have any special requirements, please discuss this with the box office and we will do our best to help.
