Eid Ul Fitr - How do you celebrate yours?

Do you have a special family Eid Ul Fitr memory? How do you celebrate Eid Ul Fitr in your culture? What does Eid mean to you? Is there a family portrait you’d like to share? (Has Covid-19 impacted your celebrations?)

Curator and Coliseum Associate Alumni Hafsah Aneela Bashir would love to hear your stories about Eid for a special Rifco 21st Birthday Celebration Exhibition.

Send your story and family photos to eidmemories@coliseum.org.uk by 12noon on 31 March for a chance to feature in this art project taking place in Oldham in 2022.

Each year, as the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end and the new month of Shawwal begins, Muslims all over the world look towards the night sky for a sighting of the new moon.

Eid Ul Fitr is a blessed festival where family and friends gather together to celebrate, pray, give gifts to one another and feast! It’s a time of great generosity and gratitude.

This project is co-commissioned by Rifco Theatre Company and Oldham Coliseum Theatre
