Following the announcement of our Spring-Summer 2024 season, today we’re unpacking an offer for local artists
Coliseum at the Roundabout will host an artistic programme focusing on work made in Oldham. Key to this aim is an initiative that will give local theatremakers space, time, and a small budget to develop and showcase their work through our new programme, Crafted at the Coliseum. There are two opportunities up for grabs.
Got an idea you want to develop? We’re offering eight residencies to local artists/ companies to develop and share a new piece of work - if sharing feels right to you. Each company will each receive four days of space in kind, a bursary of £1,000 and a small budget for an optional sharing.
Got a show that’s just dying to meet an audience? We also want to programme a series of the best local talent on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the run. Each company will each receive a guarantee against box office, with space and staffing provided in kind.
Who is this aimed at?
Both offers for artists are open to all. However, we will prioritise giving opportunities to artists who:
