Amanda Huxtable - Multiplatform Writer, Director and Producer
Amanda has over 25 years of experience in the creative industries directing, writing, and producing and is an advocate, mentor and educator. She is a highly regarded director and has worked across the UK. She directed the regional theatre premiere of Nine Night by Natasha Gordon a Co-production between Leeds Playhouse and Nottingham Playhouse.
She has presented productions around the world, most notably at the biannual National Black Theatre Festival in the USA and as part of the British Council in Sierra Leone, supporting writers with script development for screen and live work for British Council Venezuela.
Amanda is co-director of Vanitas Arts, a Digital Storytelling Production Company, developing immersive digital stories. She is also a co -director of GeoStories, a story mobile App that combines audio drama, podcasts film, augmented reality, and GPS triggered stories and can be accessed wherever you are.
When it comes to story, Amanda has actively worked for the diversification of the cultural sector in the United Kingdom all her professional life.
Amanda is the Chair of RJC Dance (Reggae, Jazz, Contemporary Dance) based in Chapeltown Leeds and is a longstanding committee member of Huddersfield Literature Festival.
