Oldham Coliseum Theatre is reopening — and we’re building the board to match.

This is a moment of real change.
Not just the return of a building, but the reimagining of a civic cultural institution.

We are becoming:

  • A producing theatre rooted in Oldham
  • A cultural home where local stories meet national ambition
  • A connector across Greater Manchester’s creative ecology

We are reopening with purpose.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from individuals who want to help shape this next chapter.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in:

  • Legal (charity and/or commercial)
  • Artistic or creative practice
  • Commercial strategy, partnerships or income generation
  • Buildings, capital projects or venue operations

You don’t need previous board experience.

What matter is:

  • Good judgement
  • A belief in the power of culture as a civic force
  • An ability to balance ambition with realism
  • A willingness to contribute to something bigger than yourself

This is an active board at a pivotal moment — transition, reopening, and growth.

Oldham Coliseum Theatre exists to create bold, relevant work, nurture talent, rebuild audiences, and play a meaningful role in the regeneration of our borough.
