After a decade of no exercise (besides child-rearing and reaching for cake) 41 year old poet P Burton-Morgan finds themselves newly single and hungry to return to pre-childbirth levels of fitness.

Written and Performed by P Burton-Morgan. P Burton-Morgan was founder & Artistic Director for Metta Theatre since 2005 for which they have written & directed over 30 productions.

Cue Rocky montage, but with a middle-aged red-faced mum reciting sonnets on the South West Coast path. So far so solitary until they join their local running club and find themselves drawn into a world of flirting, friendship, fierce competition and the unexpected discovery that they’re ferociously fast. With their trademark mix of witty wordplay and open-hearted tenderness this solo show is a silly, sexy, sweaty romp – don’t forget to stretch first. Stay afterwards for a post show talk and hear about P Burton Morgan’s other works!

P Burton-Morgan as a poet they have been published in Propel Magazine, anthologized by Arachne press and The Chimes, and they’ve performed at Primadonna Festival, Hot Flush & Dirty Laundry and Ledbury Poetry Festival where they won the 2024 Ledbury Poetry Slam. Pamphlets include Solitary Animal Mother (Fifty Foot Press) and Explaining Being Pan to Nan (Mutti Press).
